The Veterinary Council of Ghana (VCG) is the statutory body established under the Veterinary Surgeons Law, PNDC Law 305C to regulate the practice of veterinary medicine and the conduct of veterinary professionals throughout the country.
The mandate of the Council is defined by four main strategic areas:
To regulate and advance the practice of veterinary medicine in Ghana by ensuring high standards of education, ethical conduct, and professional competence, in order to protect public health, promote animal welfare, and build trust in veterinary services.
