The Council

The Veterinary Council of Ghana (VCG) is the statutory body established under the Veterinary Surgeons Law, PNDC Law 305C to regulate the practice of veterinary medicine and the conduct of veterinary professionals throughout the country.

Our vision is to establish a well regulated, competent, and trusted veterinary sector that ensures the health and welfare of animals, protects public safety, and upholds the highest standards of veterinary practice and education in Ghana.

Mission Statement

To regulate and advance the practice of veterinary medicine in Ghana by ensuring high standards of education, ethical conduct, and professional competence, in order to protect public health, promote animal welfare, and build trust in veterinary services.
