The Veterinary Council of Ghana (VCG) on Tuesday, 20th January 2026, paid a courtesy call on the Head of the Civil Service as part of efforts to strengthen institutional collaboration and reinforce the role of veterinary services within Ghana’s public service framework.
The visit provided an opportunity for the Council to formally engage the Head of Civil Service on matters relating to veterinary regulation, professional standards, and the critical contribution of veterinary services to public health, food safety, and national development. Discussions also highlighted the importance of ethical practice, capacity building, and inter-sectoral cooperation in advancing the One Health agenda.
The Head of the Civil Service welcomed the delegation and commended the Veterinary Council of Ghana for its regulatory mandate and commitment to upholding professionalism within the veterinary sector. The meeting reaffirmed shared commitments to collaboration in strengthening public institutions and supporting professionals serving across the country.
