Event Description
The Veterinary Council of Ghana, in collaboration with the Schools of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Ghana and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), will hold the 10th Induction and Oath-Swearing Ceremony for Newly Qualified Veterinary Surgeons on Friday, 24th October 2025, at the Forestry Commission Training Centre, Ejisu, Kumasi.
This event marks the second edition of the Joint Induction Ceremony, an initiative that began last year in Accra to unite graduates from both veterinary schools under one professional oath.
The ceremony signifies the formal induction of newly qualified veterinary surgeons into the noble profession of veterinary medicine. It is a moment of pride and reflection as graduates take the Veterinary Oath—pledging to serve with integrity, compassion, and excellence in safeguarding both animal and public health.
The event will bring together key stakeholders from academia, government, and industry to celebrate this important milestone. It also reinforces the Council’s commitment to upholding professional ethics, promoting continuous development, and advancing the “One Health” approach that links animal, human, and environmental well-being.
The Veterinary Council of Ghana congratulates all inductees and warmly welcomes them into the professional community of veterinarians whose dedication continues to enhance animal welfare, public health, and national development.
